Founded by three students with a shared obsession for simplicity, data, and human behavior, Project M began as a late-night side project at a campus library — the kind where scribbled diagrams on napkins slowly turned into wireframes and “what ifs” turned into real code.
In March 2025, co-founders Kiran Malik, Ananya Rao, and Theo Chen officially launched Project M with one mission:
To turn user sentiment into meaningful financial intelligence.
Most financial tools are built around transactions. We wanted to build around trust. At Project M, we believe that better decisions come not just from algorithms — but from listening to how people think, feel, and behave.
That’s why we created a platform that merges behavioral finance, micro-feedback systems, and real-time risk modeling — all wrapped in a clean, human-first user experience.
Kiran Malik – Co-Founder, Head of UX & Research
Kiran leads front-end and user feedback development. He’s the voice behind our survey flow design and behavioral insights logic.
Ananya Rao – Co-Founder, Data Science Lead
Ananya oversees predictive modeling and AI architecture, making sure our analytics stay grounded in real human data — not just dashboards.
Theo Chen – Co-Founder, Backend & Infrastructure
Theo is the brain behind our real-time data pipelines, secure hosting, and scalable cloud logic.
M-Core 3.1: A modular decision framework built for real-time insight modeling.
Built on React, TypeScript, and a serverless infra stack.
Encrypted, permission-based, zero-knowledge UX protocols.
(We don’t just say privacy — we build it.)
We liked the ambiguity. “M” stands for modeling, memory, momentum, and maybe something else too. Because at the end of the day, this project started with a conversation between two people who wanted to understand each other better.
And now?
We want to understand the world better too.
